Enterprise Supplier Development

T-Systems Enterprise Development Programme in South Africa is dedicated to accelerating the growth and sustainability of the industries we are active in. The Programme includes financial support for training purposes, as well as mentorship and partnership to help businesses develop in a sustainable and competitive manner.
Our Enterprise Development Programme proactively works at enabling our partners to grow their businesses. These partnerships also expose us to great local skills that strengthen our own service delivery to clients. This two-way skills transfer process ultimately enables our partnerships to go from strength-to-strength and improve our individual and mutual competitive advantage.
We are proud to have been able to contribute the business growth and subsequent success of several of our South African partners, including Mthombo Managed Services (M-IT),Tactical Software Systems (TSS) Managed Services and Lechabile.
M-IT has grown from a start-up with three employees in 2000 to a company with over 200 engineers nationwide, specialising among others in contact centres, infrastructure, projects and managed services. M-IT partnered with arivia.kom on a number of prominent public sector projects since 2003. In 2005, MI-T merged with EOH to form a black-owned listed company. Subsequent to the acquisition of arivia.kom by T-Systems in 2010, the partnership has been fortified and the companies’ have more recently partnered on a major public sector implementation.
TSS employs over 120 professional consultants and has in the last 14 years grown to offer critical business management services that span a vast array of disciplines such as SAP software implementation, outsourcing, consulting and Business Process Re-engineering & Workflow Process Modelling. The company was also in a partnership with arivia.kom (from 2004) and the relationship has continued with T-Systems subsequent to the acquisition. Today, TSS and T-Systems’ relationship features a number of important public sector contracts.
Another example of our philosophy of nurturing and growing business is the successful black IT company Lechabile, which was founded on the back of seed capital, management experience and business from T-Systems. Once the company was up and running, T-Systems sold its 18% shareholding back at exactly the same price it had paid for it, with the money being ploughed back into empowerment projects.
MI-T,TSS and Lechabilie are testament to the success of T-Systems South Africa’s Enterprise Development Programme, helping these organisations to continue to grow from strength to strength and create a platform for sustainability for years to come.
